IMET2000 Organizes the National Burns Workshop in Ramallah , 20th/21st October
This burns workshop was held under the auspices of H.E. Minister of Health, Dr Fathi Abu Moghli on Wednesday 20th October as part of “ Supporting the Burns Service in Palestine “ . IMET 2000 team comprised Mrs Jo Myers, Mrs Carolyn Cripps, Dr Keith Judkins and Profe.Colin Green . The workshop started with a welcome speech from Prof Colin , followed by a speech from the MOH , Dr. Fathi Abu Moghli who thanked IMET2000 for their efforts to support the Burns services in Palestine.
The teaching sessions began with a lecture about the analysis of UK visit of needs for developing appropriate cadre of doctors, surgeons, anesthetists, rehabilitation specialists for running Burns Unit in Palestine , given by Dr Anas Abu Safa (Head Rafidia Burns Unit ) , followed by Ayman Enaya ( Head Nurse Burn Unit and Team Member of Burns Units UK visit ).Presentation included an analysis of training and professional development needs for nursing and auxiliary cadre necessary to support Burns Units in Palestine.
The workshop was extremely successful and the attendees were impressed by the commitment of all participants to improve the service and standardize protocols throughout Palestine to a national standard.
