IMET2000 CEO visits Palestine to Cope with the Efforts of Child and Adolescent Health Program
In May, 2009, the CEO of IMET2000 , Prof Colin Green held a meeting in Bethlehem SOS Village with Dr Tawfiq Salman a child psychiatrist and Project Manager of the SOS Children’s Villages –Palestine, where they discussed his newly established Palestinian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (PACAMH), its work and its need for funding.
In August, 2009, the CEO of IMET2000 , Prof Colin Green met with Dr Tawfiq Salman in Ramallah and with Dr Samah Al-Jabr at her private clinic in Ram. With Dr Salman, Prof. Colin agreed to provide some funding for PACAMH as soon as money became available. With Dr Samah Al-Jabr, Prof. Colin agreed that IMET2000-Pal should fund a program of up to 14 workshops to be run in Ram on such topics as Behavioral Cognitive Therapy (BCT) as soon as funds became available.
Prof Colin Green has also met with Dr Taiseer Abdallah and Dr Samah Al-Jabr to discuss possible clinics for children and adolescents in Abu Dies and the need for a walk-in drug addiction clinic.
