IMET 2000 has a memorandum of agreement with the International Federation of Medical Student Association (IFMSA) and is keen to facilitate student exchanges (undergraduate and postgraduate) between Palestinian and international academic organizations.  For example, in 2009 it provided the then President of IFMSA-Pal with a bursary to Australia to enable him to fight the election for President of the international organization (which he won).  Similarly, IMET 2000 provided a Swedish medical student with sponsorship to work in refugee camps in Palestine in April 2009.
