IMET2000-Pal Travel Bursary; a Clinical Attachment at the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Department at Shands Hospital, University of Florida, USA, Dr. Omar Abu-Khazneh

Dear IMET2000Pal team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing this letter to express my deep gratitude  for your generous financial support. I am honored to have been selected as the  recipient of the clinical attachment grant to support my clinical experience at  Shands Hospital. Thanks to your kind contribution, I have been able to participate  in an outstanding rotation with exceptional physicians in Pulmonary and Critical  Care Medicine.

This opportunity has not only contributed greatly to my growth as a young doctor,  both personally and professionally, but also motivated me to keep striving to  become an excellent physician to benefit my community.

During my time at Shands Hospital, I had the chance to learn and develop valuable  skills in a field I am seriously interested in. I was able to meet different people from  diverse backgrounds and help them recognize the competency of Palestinian  doctors. I shared a lot from our culture and learned some about theirs, but most  importantly, I have broadened my clinical perspective in Pulmonary and Critical  Care medicine, and I intend to use and share what I learned to improve our health  system in Palestine.

Thank you for believing in my potential and supporting this step in my medical  journey. I strongly acknowledge and appreciate your continued support for Palestinian medical students and doctors.

Yours sincerely,

Omar Abu-Khazneh, MD
