IMET2000-Pal Nurses as Leaders Training: The World of Leadership - Session I
The health and well-being of patients in hospitals depends to a large extent on nurses. Good quality and safe holistic care requires clinical judgments that are deemed to be in the overall best interests of the patient. Clinical judgments may be decided by teams of healthcare professionals. If these judgments are to be effective it is essential that a team is functioning well. No matter what the level of a nurse there is an increasing need to show leadership within a team environment.
This project is a special training for nurses at high levels mangers aims to explore the reason why nurses at all levels are required to be leaders if safe and high quality patient care is to be administered through good teamwork.
Who Should Attend?
Department heads, senior supervisors, managers and others who need to develop/sharpen their managerial skills.
Aims and Objectives:
This Training is designed for nurses from the governmental and private health care hospitals of different districts at the west bank. This program specifically aims to:
1. Clearly define the difference between clinical leadership and management leadership.
2. Define the various management functions and the type of skill associated with each.
3. Define the relationship between attitude and behavior and use it to motivate self and others.
4. Differentiate between leadership and management and use such knowledge to improve overall results and motivation.
